FEAM

FEAM is the European Federation of Academies of Medicine. AccMed is a founding member and member.

FEAM's mission (https://www.feam.eu/mission-vision/ ) is to promote cooperation between national academies of medicine, pharmacy, and veterinary medicine; to provide them with a platform to formulate and express a common position on European issues concerning human and animal medicine, biomedical research, education, and health; and to extend to European authorities the consultative role they exercise in their countries on these matters.

IAP - InterAcademy Partnership

Under the umbrella of the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP), more than 140 national, regional and global academies work together to support the vital role of science in finding evidence-based solutions to the world's most complex problems.

Specifically, IAP leverages the expertise of the world's scientific, medical, and engineering leaders to advance sound policies, improve public health, promote excellence in science education, and achieve other critical development goals.

IAP includes more than 30,000 scientists, engineers and health professionals from over 100 countries.

One of the core points of IAP's mission is to reach out to society and participate in discussions on critical global issues in which science plays a crucial role, and - since its inception in 1993 - IAP has produced statements on issues of fundamental importance for humanity.

These statements, which are published only after being approved by a majority of IAP members, not only reflect the major issues facing society, but are also evidence of IAP's ongoing commitment to society.

Further information about IAP is available on the website www.interacademies.org , on Twitter @IAPartnership , on LinkedIn and YouTube .
